(1896 - 1967) German general, commander of the 21st Panzer Division in North Africa and the 715th Infantry Division in Italy, held in British captivity for over two years until his release in 1947. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., Frankfurt, [n.d.], regarding the sale of some of Hildebrandt's documents, adding: 'The enclosed pictures (not present) will be accepted as a small token of favor, I am quite sure.' Hildebrandt signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Some letters pierce the paper due to a faulty typewriter, else fine.
