Obverse: Dragon in clouds, date below; Reverse: "Minh Mang Thong Bao". This boldly struck and wholesome example displays light attractive mottled gray patina exhibiting minor signs of handling consistent for the grade. A minor strike rotation on both sides is mentioned for accuracy adding a bit of character for this piece. Close inspection reveals evidence of a past cleaning now slightly subdued by the light patination. Despite its shortcomings a wholesome and presentable example of this iconic Annamese issue that is be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
