A 17TH/18TH CENTURY INDIAN MUGHAL WORK BOX, decorated over all with silver plaquettes of animals, birds, insects and winged figures on a tortoiseshell covered wooden ground with copper gilt mounts, the slope front hinged lid with copper gilt handle and lock plate opening to reveal fitted wooden interior and remains of painted scene to the lid, 23cm high. Numerous losses to tortoiseshell and plaquettes, various other damages.
