A very fine quality Russian egg made of muted pink and black natural rhodonite with silver-gilt mounts and set with cut diamonds, ruby cabochons, and other precious stones. The top features a figurine of an elephant covered with red guilloche enamel. Marked on the bottom with 84 silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the right and other Russian hallmarks. Complete with an original wooden case.
