The scrapbook was compiled by Robinson around 1853, the order of battle on silk of the Battle of St. Vincent by him is dated 1853, the invitation issued to him to view the 'Westminster Abbey, or Victory'. Nelson Receiving the Swords exhibition is also dated 1853. Additionally, there is a mounted engraved portrait of his father, Dr. William Robinson (1777-1848), a noted local historian, by J. Mills after François Simoneau, dated 1822 and a watercolour of Trafalgar House, dated December 1848, his home in Tottenham, North London. Interestingly, Robinson's grandfather William Robinson (1737-1808) was rumoured to have had an affair with Ann Nelson (1760-1783), Lord Nelson's sister, and that a son, William Jr. was the result, hence the name of the house. The watercolours are almost certainly by the artist Daniel Orme (1766-1837), who was known for depicting contemporary naval heroic subjects including Admirals Horatio Nelson and Richard Howe. His younger brothers Edward and William Orme were also artists and publishers.
