An Edwardian Elliott mahogany cased triple fusee bracket clock,
An Edwardian Elliott mahogany cased triple fusee bracket clock, striking on eight bells and five gongs and with silvered brass dial. Height 68 cm, width 44 cm, depth 32 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on all three trains. We have the pendulum. The clock does tick for a short period but then stops. The movement seems to strike as it should when advanced manually. The face is reasonably clean although the silvering around all dials is rubbed. The bevelled glass door when viewed from the front is in good condition. There are however two small chips around the retaining nails when viewed from the inside. The mahogany case is in generally good order but could do with a polish. All metalwork is tarnished and dirty. The block beneath the centre pineapple is a different colour. Perhaps the case originally had a handle. The side grilles are dirty but in good structural order. The gilding to the feet is largely gone. We do have the key. The grille to the rear door is buckled but is present.
